N MY NAME IS NALA AND THIS IS MY STORY
Once upon a time I had a home.
I ran and played and was free to roam.
Then one day when I was out
I returned home, but there was no one about.
I sat at the door and began to meow.
I would have opened it, if I knew how.
That was the start of the beginning of the end.
I started to wander, hoping to find a friend.
I hoped someone would take care of me,
Give me a bowl of food and hear my plea.
I had become a lost, abandoned kitty that needed a home.
And no more did I want to roam.
I was frightened and hungry and very cold.
I wasn’t sure how my story would unfold.
I had wandered for days, I don’t know how far.
As I grew more tired, I sat under a car.
A kind lady talked to me and offered me food.
I was so grateful that she understood.
She fed and cared for me for my short stay,
Until her Mom came in just a few days.
Her Mom saw me and it was love at first sight,
She knew that I wouldn’t scratch or bite.
My sweet gentle nature grabbed at her heart.
I was dirty and scrawny, but she knew I was smart.
In a green crate with a pillow I did stay,
While we drove to my new home I was happy to obey.
Just a few days before I appeared,
The lady’s beloved Yorkie went to heaven.
He was so precious and dear.
She was very sad without him, but I would bring her joy.
Of course, she would never forget her special boy.
I was lost for a reason, but then I didn’t know
I was really sent by SCOUT who lived over the Rainbow.
Every wish and dream has come true.
I have a forever home and I’ve made my debut.

Who keeps me informed and helps me out.
Every night as I snuggle in my bed,
I cross my paws and bow my head,
I give thanks for the great life I live.
Oh, so grateful for the positive.
I say my prayers for all the lost dogs and cats.
I want them to be happy as me; I hope it happens fast.
No more neglected animals, no more despair.
Let them all be loved by good people who care.
